Product Information

Terrafirma TF266 2" Lift Air-to-Coil Suspension Conversion Kit – Discovery 3 & Discovery 4

The Terrafirma TF266 converts the factory air suspension on Land Rover Discovery 3 and Discovery 4 models to conventional coil-spring suspension while also providing an approximately 50mm / 2-inch increase in ride height.

It is designed for owners who want to eliminate the potential expense and inconvenience associated with ageing air-suspension components while gaining additional ground clearance from a permanently lifted suspension setup.

Once converted, the vehicle uses conventional coil springs at a fixed raised ride height rather than retaining the adjustable ride heights of the original air-suspension system.

What's Included?

The TF266 conversion kit includes:

  • Front pre-assembled 2" lift coil-spring strut assemblies

  • Rear pre-assembled 2" lift coil-spring strut assemblies

  • Terrafirma EAS air-suspension override module

  • Vehicle-specific wiring loom

The front and rear strut assemblies arrive pre-assembled, removing the need to build the spring and damper assemblies before installation.

What Does the EAS Override Module Do?

Simply replacing the original air suspension with conventional coil springs would normally cause suspension faults and warning messages because the vehicle's electronic systems continue to look for the air-suspension components.

The Terrafirma EAS override module is supplied to integrate the coil conversion with the vehicle's electronics.

Terrafirma has developed the conversion to retain important original electronic functions including:

  • Terrain Response

  • Headlight levelling

  • Vehicle information-screen functions

2" Lift Ride Height

TF266 is the lifted version of Terrafirma's air-to-coil conversion system.

The spring and damper assemblies provide approximately 50mm / 2 inches of additional ride height, making the kit particularly suitable for vehicles where increased ground clearance is desirable.

Terrafirma has designed the suspension to provide good load-carrying characteristics while maintaining appropriate ride quality and handling.

Please note that converting to coil springs removes the original air suspension's ability to raise and lower the vehicle. The approximately 2" raised ride height becomes the vehicle's fixed suspension height.

Vehicle Fitment

Suitable for:

  • Land Rover Discovery 3 / LR3

  • Land Rover Discovery 4 / LR4

For vehicles where a lift is not required, see our TF265 standard-height air-to-coil conversion kit.

TF265 or TF266 – Which Kit Do I Need?

Both kits replace the original air suspension with conventional coil springs and use an electronic override system to retain the vehicle's associated electronic functions.

The principal difference is ride height:

  • TF265 – approximately standard factory ride height

  • TF266 – approximately 50mm / 2" increased ride height

Choose TF265 if you want to retain approximately the vehicle's normal road height.

Choose TF266 if you want the simplicity of a coil-spring conversion together with additional ground clearance and a permanently raised stance.

Why Convert from Air Suspension to Coil Springs?

The factory Land Rover air-suspension system provides excellent comfort and adjustable ride height, but as vehicles age there are more components which can potentially require repair, including air springs, compressors, valves, height sensors and air lines.

TF266 replaces the pneumatic spring system with conventional coil springs, removing many of those potential air-suspension failure points while also increasing ride height by approximately 2 inches.

For owners who value the original adjustable suspension heights, repairing and retaining the factory air suspension may remain the preferable option.

For owners looking for a simpler fixed-height suspension system together with increased ground clearance, TF266 provides a practical alternative without simply disabling the vehicle's associated electronic systems.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does TF266 lift the vehicle?

TF266 is designed to provide approximately 50mm / 2 inches of additional ride height compared with the vehicle's normal road-height setting.

Can I still raise and lower the suspension after fitting TF266?

No. The original air springs are replaced with conventional coil springs, so the vehicle no longer has adjustable suspension height. It remains at the approximately 2" raised ride height.

Does Terrain Response still work after the conversion?

Yes. The Terrafirma EAS override module is designed to retain functions including Terrain Response, headlight levelling and the vehicle information-screen functions.

What is the difference between TF265 and TF266?

TF265 converts the vehicle to coil springs at approximately standard ride height. TF266 performs the same basic conversion but uses raised spring and damper assemblies to provide approximately 50mm / 2" additional ride height.

Are the springs and shock absorbers supplied assembled?

Yes. TF266 is supplied with pre-assembled front and rear coil-spring strut assemblies.

Delivery

Fast, reliable delivery is an important part of the service we provide, which is why approximately 99% of LR Parts orders are shipped with DHL.UK Delivery – £5 + VAT

We offer a simple flat UK delivery rate of just £5 + VAT, calculated automatically at checkout.

The actual cost to us of using DHL is often higher than the amount we charge our customers, but we've deliberately chosen to subsidise the difference rather than move to a cheaper delivery service.

With around 1,800–2,000 orders leaving LR Parts every week, we know how important the final stage of an order is. Whether you've ordered a small service part or an expensive component needed to get your Land Rover back on the road, we want it travelling through a delivery network we trust.

That's why DHL is our first choice rather than simply the cheapest option.

Where an individual product carries an additional delivery surcharge due to its size, weight or handling requirements, this is clearly shown on the product page before you order.

International Delivery – No Unexpected Charges on Arrival

LR Parts supplied customers in 158 countries in the last 12 months, and we work with Global-e to make ordering from outside the UK as straightforward as possible.

This means you can see the total landed cost before you buy.

There are no additional customs duties or taxes to pay when your order arrives.

Your order is still picked and packed by our team in Liverpool, with the vast majority of international shipments travelling through DHL's worldwide delivery network.

Simply add your parts to the basket, select your destination and the checkout will calculate the applicable delivery, duties and taxes for you.
