Product Information
Terrafirma TF265 Air-to-Coil Suspension Conversion Kit – Discovery 3, Discovery 4 & Range Rover Sport
The Terrafirma TF265 converts the factory air suspension on selected Discovery 3, Discovery 4 and Range Rover Sport models to conventional coil-spring suspension at approximately standard ride height.
It is designed for owners who want to eliminate the potential expense and inconvenience associated with ageing air-suspension components such as air springs, compressors and associated pneumatic equipment.
Once converted, the vehicle sits at a fixed standard-height setting rather than retaining the adjustable ride heights of the original air-suspension system.
What's Included?
The TF265 conversion kit includes:
-
Front pre-assembled coil-spring strut assemblies
-
Rear pre-assembled coil-spring strut assemblies
-
Terrafirma air-suspension override module
-
Vehicle-specific wiring loom for Discovery 3 / Range Rover Sport 2005–2009 applications
-
Vehicle-specific wiring loom for Discovery 4 / Range Rover Sport 2010–2013 applications
The strut assemblies arrive pre-assembled, removing the need to build the spring and damper assemblies before installation.
What Does the Override Module Do?
Simply removing the original air suspension would normally cause faults and warning messages because the vehicle continues to look for components that are no longer fitted.
The sophisticated Terrafirma override module is supplied to integrate the coil conversion with the vehicle's electronic systems.
Terrafirma has developed the system to retain original electronic functions including:
-
Terrain Response
-
Headlight levelling/adjustment
-
Vehicle information-screen functions
Ride Height and Driving Characteristics
TF265 is the standard-height version of Terrafirma's air-to-coil conversion system.
The springs are designed to give approximately the same ride height as the vehicle's normal air-suspension setting, with good load-carrying characteristics. Terrafirma has developed the spring and damper combination with the aim of retaining appropriate ride quality and handling after conversion.
Please note that converting to coil springs removes the original air suspension's ability to raise and lower the vehicle.
Vehicle Fitment
Suitable for selected:
-
Land Rover Discovery 3
-
Land Rover Discovery 4
-
Range Rover Sport L320 (Without Dynamic Stability Control or ACE (Active Cornering Enhancement)
Important: There are vehicle specification restrictions on Range Rover Sport applications. Please check the fitment information carefully before ordering or contact us with your vehicle details if you are unsure.
Why Convert from Air Suspension to Coil Springs?
The factory Land Rover air-suspension system provides excellent comfort and height adjustment, but as vehicles age there are more components which can potentially require repair, including air springs, compressors, valves, sensors and air lines.
TF265 replaces the pneumatic spring system with conventional coil springs, removing many of those potential air-suspension failure points.
For owners who value the original adjustable suspension heights, repairing and retaining the factory air suspension may remain the preferable option. For owners looking for a simpler fixed-height suspension system, TF265 provides an alternative without simply disabling the vehicle's associated electronic systems.

FAQs
Will TF265 stop the air-suspension warning messages?
The kit includes Terrafirma's dedicated override module and vehicle-specific wiring to integrate the conversion with the vehicle's electronics.
Does Terrain Response still work after fitting TF265?
Terrafirma states that the conversion retains electronic functions including Terrain Response, headlight levelling and information-screen functions.
Can I still raise and lower the suspension?
No. TF265 replaces the air springs with conventional coil springs at approximately the vehicle's standard ride height, so adjustable suspension height is no longer available.
What's the difference between TF265 and TF266?
This is a particularly good one to add: TF265 is the standard-height kit; TF266 is Terrafirma's lifted version, giving approximately 50mm / 2 inches of additional ride height. Terrafirma distinguishes the two versions this way.
Will this fit my Range Rover Sport with ACE?
No, sorry this won't fit your vehicle as it has Active Cornering Enhancement.

Delivery
Fast, reliable delivery is an important part of the service we provide, which is why approximately 99% of LR Parts orders are shipped with DHL.UK Delivery – £5 + VAT
We offer a simple flat UK delivery rate of just £5 + VAT, calculated automatically at checkout.
The actual cost to us of using DHL is often higher than the amount we charge our customers, but we've deliberately chosen to subsidise the difference rather than move to a cheaper delivery service.
With around 1,800–2,000 orders leaving LR Parts every week, we know how important the final stage of an order is. Whether you've ordered a small service part or an expensive component needed to get your Land Rover back on the road, we want it travelling through a delivery network we trust.
That's why DHL is our first choice rather than simply the cheapest option.
Where an individual product carries an additional delivery surcharge due to its size, weight or handling requirements, this is clearly shown on the product page before you order.
