MUD Land Rover factory style Td5/Tdci switches. Exclusive to MUD.
Our own exclusive range of custom factory style switches are designed to suit Td5 & Tdci Land Rover Defenders
MUD switches eliminate the common issues normally associated when retro-fitting the factory style switches.
The majority of the Genuine Land Rover switches and aftermarket switches switch the earth/ground circuit leading to confusion with installers that typically causes damage to the switches and LEDs. MUD switches differ from the Genuine switches by using conventional Live/Positive circuit switching.
MUD switches are simple to wire
Pin 1 -Power in
Pin 2- Dashboard Illumination in
Pin 3-Power out
Pin 4-Earth/Ground.
We've also identified that the unique housing connectors used on the back of the Genuine switches cause hassle and further expense for installers. We’ve simplified installation by going with common spade terminal connections (4.8mm) on the back of the switches, thereby eliminating the need for expensive switch specific connectors. Each MUD switch is supplied with 4x insulated spade terminals.
MUD switches are not keyed to any specific aperture in the dashboard so can be fitted into any spare switch location.
- All MUD Land Rover style switches are single pole latching Off/On switches.
- All switches feature Green backlight illumination and Orange ‘ON’ illumination.
- Switches are rated at 12-volts & 3 amps. ALWAYS use a relay for MUD switches.
- Colour matched to as closely as possible match the factory switches.
- Soft-touch 'on-off' switching mechanism
Note the MUD switches come as a complete switch. Rockers are not interchangeable.
