Pair of Series Style Doors To Suit Defenders 1983- Present

This is the full kit that you need to do the swap over from push button doors to this 2 piece type!

In this kit, these are the door bottoms to convert your Defender to the simpler and more robust Series split doors.

These doors and tops are steel framed with aluminium skins as per factory spec

Before today the only option to do this yourself is to buy standard series 3 or series 2 door bottoms and tops and modify and add various brackets to make them fit Defenders. The main problem was that the check strap bracket is completely different and in the wrong place on standard series doors.

Also normal series doors lack the lever that’s pushes the interior light switch on and off which also acts as part of the intruder alarm system from mid-1990 models onwards. These are made by the same company that makes Defender push button doors so the same jig and bracket has been used on these doors so it is in exactly the right place. The check strap bracket is attached using steel pop rivets as this is what was originally used on Push button doors right from 1986-2016.
Our doors bolt straight onto any Defender 90/ 110/ 130 1983- present and replicate all of the original functions your vehicle needs. No extra modification or welding is needed; these simply bolt onto you existing hinges!

Benefits of converting to 2 part doors:

1. Much cheaper than new push button doors
2. Much simpler and less to go wrong as there is no winding window mechanism to go wrong!
3. Much less rot prone
4. Lift up handles are much stronger against theft prevention as the lock design is stronger
5. Lift up handles are off-road safe as they do not protrude out of the door like the plastic push button handles do.
6. Much more elbow room inside the cabin
7. Removable door tops if you have a soft top or just wish to let more air in!

Half rear door kit to fit Series & Defenders 90 & 110 models 1958-2016

This is a sideways opening door and opens just like the original door, but is just made in half!

This is the full kit with everything you need to fit to your Land Rover

Included in the kit is:

• Half Rear door

• 2 x Hinges and bolts

• Check strap and bolt

• Check strap bracket which bolts to tub and bolts

• Door handle and fixing plates

• Striker

• Lock hole surround trim

This has a hot dipped galvanised frame with a galvanised steel skin, The zinc on the skin is electroplated so is perfectly smooth and ideal for painting. This door is very strong and will last a very long time!

Uses all of your original door handle, hinges and check strap bracket etc. So all of you old door part wills swap over onto this
If you currently have a full rear door fitted you will need to move the striker which is bolted inside the body tub down 7cm lower. However this is literally just 2 holes which is easily drilled. The reason for this is we have put the position of the handle lower down than in the standard full rear door so it looks correct in relation to the overall size of the door. As if you cut a standard rear door in half the handle recess ends up being right at the top of the door which doesn't look so nice. This is unique on the market and looks superb!

If you are converting from a drop down tailgate then you will need to drill the new holes for the striker anyway.
Great alternative to the drop down tailgate as fitted to sort top and pick up models.

Comes complete with a hot dipped galvanised steel capping which finishes the top of to match with your tub cappings. (This is just pop riveted on so if you do not wish to paint, you can remove this, paint the door and then re attach with new pop rivets for a nice contrast)

The skin is also bonded to the frame.
