If your Land Rover/Range Rover door latch and actuator are faulty then it generally causes the door in question to either not open or not close properly, which can be a major inconvenience. It can also be a safety hazard in the event of an emergency. Therefore, it is generally recommended to replace a faulty door latch and actuator as soon as possible.

Some of the common signs of a faulty door latch and actuator include:

  • The door not opening or closing properly
  • Difficulty in opening or closing the door from inside or outside of the vehicle
  • A grinding or clicking noise when trying to open or close the door
  • The door remaining open or not fully closed
  • The door locking and unlocking on its own
