LR029295/7KIT – OEM Defender 90 Tubular Side Steps with Anodised Aluminium Chequer Plate – Pair
A pair of OEM tubular side steps with anodised aluminium chequer-plate tread for Land Rover Defender 90.
Manufactured by the original equipment supplier, these are the high-quality OEM version of the Defender chequer-plate side steps rather than one of the numerous inexpensive reproduction sets available.
The black tubular runners are topped with rubber and anodised aluminium chequer plate, providing a wide, durable stepping surface while retaining the traditional Defender appearance.

That second application is worth retaining: the OEM fitment data specifically lists the LR029295/LR029297 pair for the 90 and the 110 2-door pick-up application.
OEM Quality – Why These Cost More Than Cheap Copies
There are many much cheaper Defender chequer-plate side steps available online.
These are not those steps.
We intentionally stock the OEM product because correct fitment matters on an accessory of this size.
Lower-cost reproduction steps can look very similar in a photograph, but in our experience quality differences become much more obvious when they are actually fitted to a Defender. Common areas where cheaper products can disappoint include bracket alignment, fit against the vehicle, tube construction, tread finish and corrosion resistance.
The OEM steps are manufactured by the supplier responsible for the original Land Rover product, giving you the construction quality and mounting accuracy that the design was intended to have.

Chequer-Plate Tread
This version uses an anodised aluminium chequer-plate upper surface combined with rubber grip sections.
