This mount comes fully welded, but it requires painting. The blue ones in the pictures are for demonstration only. We also supply blue ones. Part Number: GL1151

This kit consists of:-
1 x DIY Alternator Mounting Kit (Not Painted)
1 x Fanbelt, 7PK1784 DAYCO.

Please note fitment of this mount will involve grinding the aluminium where the Air Conditioning pump mounts to, please see our fitting instructions for information. This will not stop you from removing our Alternator Mount to replace it with an Air Conditioning pump at a later date if you wish.

This mount allows a second alternator to be fitted to charge auxiliary batteries instead of a split charge system.

This mount uses a 300Tdi style alternator, 12 Volt 100 Amp A127i YLE10113 with 7rib 65mm pulley, we can supply this alternator and pulley if required. We recommend using an A127i L/H Mounting Alternator, these have an internal cooling fan blade, an A127 Alternator that has an external cooling fan blade can fowl on the tensioner arm of our mount, an unshielded external fan blade could also be a hazard. This mount fits in the position of the air con pump, if you have an ACE Pump then it won’t fit.

Many customers also use this mount to fit a 24 Volt alternator, we do not sell the 24 Volt alternator, but the one you want is a 24v A127i L/H Mounting Alternator.

For use in expedition vehicles or in any vehicle where you want to power auxiliary equipment using a second battery, up to more extreme use where you need to maximize charge current on winch challenge vehicles.

What you must remember is your batteries are just an electric storage tank, it’s the alternators that do the hard work, the quicker you can charge the batteries the more power you will have, even with a split charge system you still only have one alternator supplying your electrical system.
