Fits the following vehicles:
- Defender - 90 - from LA930456
- Defender - 110 - from 2A238165 (non-Salisbury)
- Discovery 1 - non-ABS - from JA032851
- Range Rover Classic - non-ABS - from KA624756
These new generation of heavy-duty half-shafts are made from 4340 alloy steel. The shafts are made to fit the later ‘slim’ hub driver (15mm) as fitted to the 300Tdi vehicles.
The rear shafts will need a pair of separate outer drive flanges if you don’t already have them. Half-shafts for the 90 rear up to VIN LA930456 have separate flanges so it will not be necessary to replace your existing flanges unless you wish to upgrade to heavy-duty flanges. Half-shafts after this VIN number have integral flanges so it will be necessary to purchase both the half-shafts and the 859 drive flanges.
