Heated rear door glass with the high level brake light conversion kit

So this will convert your land rover from the standard heated glass to the heated glass with high level brake light.

This is the full kit with everything you need to fit, including instructions, although it is pretty straight forward to do

 

This will fit all defenders from 1983-2002 (before they went to the one piece steel door)

This is a great and welcome upgrade to give another form of brake light on your Defender as the standard small brake lights often dont work or are easily missed.

 

The kit includes a genuine land rover high level brake light and genuine land rover light cover for an OEM finish. This looks just like a genuine land rover kit as fitted to top spec defenders after 1999.

 

You will receive:

• 1x Heated glass with high level brake light fitting
• 1x brake light for land rover
• 1x Genuine land rover brake light cover
• 1x 2 core wire with conduit cover to connect the high level brake light to normal brake lights
• 1x Roll of sealant to seal new glass into door
• 1x set of nuts to hold light onto glass
• 1x set of screws to attach light cover to light
• 1x set of instructions
• 2x scotchlock connectors

 

The wiring of the high brake light is very simple, there is a positive and negative wire.

You connect the black wire supplied to the black negative wire going to your RH brake light. You then connect the red wire supplied to the positve wire going to your brake light.

In the kit you receive 2x scotchlock connectors which allow you to connect to your existing wires easily and quickly.

 

This is normally very expensive to buy as has only been available genuine land rover and are normally about £180 for the glass on its own!

This wil lfit the rear doors on:

Defender models 1983-2002 (before they changed to the one piece puma style door)and also SERIES MODELS 1958-1985

 

This is brand new glass with heater element and is fully toughened and E marked and Dot marked so fully road legal and ready to fit

 

This glass even has the very slight green tint to it as per factory original spec and not just cheap clear glass
