TD5 Crank Position Sensor Overlay Harness – Defender & Discovery 2
The TD5’s crankshaft position sensor is critical for accurate engine timing and reliable starting. As these vehicles age, the original sensor wiring is known to become brittle, heat-soaked and prone to internal breaks or interference. This can lead to classic TD5 symptoms such as intermittent non-start, cutting out, rough running or inconsistent performance – often without a clear fault code.
This overlay harness provides a direct, high-quality replacement route that bypasses the ageing factory wiring. Manufactured using screened automotive-grade cable, upgraded insulation and durable protective sleeving, it offers a long-term fix for one of the most common electrical gremlins on TD5 engines.
