Uprated direct replacement intercooler for Land Rover Defender, Discovery or Range Rover 300 Tdi. Designed with 50% more cooling surface area than the original.
No modifications required for installation.
Pressure tested to 30 psi prior to dispatch and supplied with our Lifetime warranty
Constructed using our special L.I.F.T (Louvered Internal Fin Technology) core design to maximise heat transfer, strength and reliability.
Combined with the correct tuning (basic instructions included) power will increase from 111 bhp standard to 135 bhp with a similar 18-20% increase in torque.
This increase in power and torque is felt primarily in the lower and mid-range rev range, increasing engine flexibility providing the equivalent of a gear higher ability up hills or pulling a trailer.
Customers regularly report 10-12% gain in economy and a smoother running engine.
Also suitable for vehicles fitted with air conditioning and automatic gearbox models
As the intercooler is far more efficient than the standard item, the fuel pump will benefit from optimisation to compensate for the change in mixture.
Please note – some late automatic Discovery models are fitted with EDC or Electronic Diesel Control, and will require an electronic tuning method
Cylinder head thermal stress is actually reduced as the EGT or combustion temperature is reduced, improving efficiency
Constructed using laser cut and CNC folded high grade aluminium end tanks, and TIG welded by hand in house.
